The facts took place shortly before 1:30 a.m. in public toilets located at the bottom of the Louis-Philippe bridge (Paris 4th).
The victim and his companion were walking on the quays of the Seine, close to the Hôtel de Ville and Notre-Dame.
The young woman went to a public toilet - yet supposed to be watched by a guard - without noticing that she was being followed by a man.
Worried that his girlfriend would not return to a bathroom, her husband went to pick her up a few moments later.
Behind the door, he then discovered that she was being raped by a stranger who had his pants down.
While he was exfiltrating his wife, passers-by blocked the bathroom door to prevent the author from fleeing, details a source familiar with the matter.
He was then arrested by the police.
Accompanied by her fiancé, the victim was transported to La Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital (Paris 13th) in stride.
