Sixteen years have passed since the able artist Asaad Fadda was the captain of the Syrian artists, after which he returned to the syndicate or his second home, as he considers it honored at the invitation of the Artists Syndicate, Mohsen Ghazi, and directs the weekly session of the Council of Artists in his capacity as an honorary captain.
This initiative comes in an attempt to benefit from the artist Asaad Fadda's career, which is full of achievements at the syndicate and artistic levels, and to inform the great artists, including Fadda, of the syndicate's mechanism of functioning and its keenness to advance more the Syrian artistic reality and move it towards the world.
The artist Asaad Fadda, in a statement to SANA, considered his presence in the syndicate as being in his home, noting the progress of the syndicate's work despite the difficult circumstances, whether by performing its duties or by providing its services to artists.
With regard to the Syrian drama, Fadda states that as long as the Arab audience does not want to dispense with it and waits for it in every Ramadan season, evidence that it is fine, even if it is marked by some stagnation and lack of production.
The head of the Artists Syndicate, Mohsen Ghazi, pointed out in a similar statement that the founders of the Syndicate and the participants in making it a pioneer at the Arab level are mainly great professors and artists in various artistic fields who left their mark on Syrian art in general.
Speaking about the initiative, Ghazi pointed out the importance of honoring these figures, as the beginning was with the able artist Duraid Lahham as the first captain of artists in Syria, and then Mr. Amin Al-Khayat, who was also the captain of artists in more than one period, where he was honored in an artistic concert and now Mr. Asaad Fadda Who in turn was the captain of artists for two terms between 1998-2006, which intersects with his predecessors, whether in union management or artistic creativity.
Ghazi added that this syndicate activity comes within a program to restore the pulse in the social and human relations of this syndicate, embodying its role in the society represented in advancing Syrian art and seeking to create new windows in the media, as well as facilitating the affairs of the artist and protecting his rights in addition to providing support and facilities for festivals, theaters and cinema As part of a plan drawn up by the union itself.
In turn, the artist, Tamader Ghanem, head of the Damascus branch of the Syndicate of Artists, considered that the syndicate for the artist is his second home, especially the former captains, as she considered it important to coordinate with them and benefit from their previous experiences in managing the syndicate, explaining that the coordination did not come on a traditional template, but through the management of the honored artist for a council session guild.
