Bad Tölz – The old town redevelopment area extends from the train station to the Isar bridge and even further to Königsdorferstrasse and Angerstrasse, which the head of the building department, Christian Fürstberger, briefly presented at the city council’s most recent building committee meeting.
Deficits in the city center of Tölz are to be named in the redevelopment statute that is due to be updated.
Before a decision is made in the city council, the citizens are involved.
The renovation statute of a municipality is a kind of script that lists deficiencies in a district.
And there are quite a few of them in the old town of Tölz: the narrow sidewalks on Nockhergasse, streams with pipes such as the Ellbach from Franzmühle to Nockhergasse, the area around the Kalvarienbergkirche and some buildings threatened with decay in the Hindenburgstraße area.
Problem with flood protection
Only a few houses in the old town need renovation, "but there are very formative houses that are empty or not used," said Christian Fürstberger, head of the building authority, to the committee.
Green areas such as the western bank of the Isar in Tölz also have “upgrading potential”, although there is a problem with flood protection on this side of the river towards the central car park.
The existing redevelopment statute for the old town, which is also a prerequisite for receiving state subsidies for redevelopment, for example, is currently being updated.
The city council is expected to vote on the modified plant at the end of this year.
The area of validity is new, so the Königsdorferstrasse and the Angerstrasse were included, which belong to the bathing part, but are structured very differently from the actual spa area.
Suggestions by Albert Vosseler
City Councilor Matthias Winter (CSU) wanted to know whether Albert Vosseler's proposals would then also be taken up.
In March, the Tölz graduate engineer for structural engineering had written to the city suggesting, among other things, a cycle route through the deer ditch, a themed trail on the Ellbach and the restoration of old memorial stones.
One could definitely look at that in the coming time, Fürstberger replied, but the suggested uncovering of old streams often fails because of the different heights between the watercourse and the accompanying roads.
Second Mayor Michael Lindmair (FWG) described the update of the old town statutes as "an important step, especially for private individuals who receive funding as a result".
