Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian mocked Washington's attempt to accuse Beijing of a "military encirclement" of Taiwan.
"The United States is making a fuss about the alleged military blockade of China while they are doing it themselves," Zhao said in a tweet posted on Twitter, as reported by RIA Novosti Agency, accompanied by an illustration showing a map of the US military deployment in the Asia-Pacific region.
