Hidden cameras were discovered in a public women's toilet at Brussels Square in Cologne.
Pictures and videos were also taken.
Cologne – Lively streets, hip bars and in the centre: Brussels Square.
The hotspot in Cologne is particularly popular with young people.
Especially in summer, students, residents and night owls like to gather here with a Kölsch in hand and enjoy the end of the day.
After all, there are also public toilets here, which come in handy after a beer or two.
But that's exactly what strangers have now exploited.
Two hidden cameras have now been found in the women's toilet, reports 24RHEIN.

Late on Friday evening (August 5), a woman noticed a hidden camera in the public toilet on Brussels Square in downtown Cologne and alerted the police.
It was camouflaged as a coat hook and reacted to movements in the interior.
"The memory cards contain video sequences relevant to the crime," said the Cologne police.
According to initial investigations, cameras camouflaged in this way can be bought on certain platforms on the Internet.
It is currently unclear who installed the camera, how many pictures were taken and how long the cameras have been recording in the public toilet on Brussels Square.
That is now the subject of the investigation, the police said.
Also still unclear: Who are the secretly recorded women?
The Cologne police now want to find out that too – and are relying on the help of witnesses.

"The Cologne police are asking witnesses who have observed something suspicious or who know the owner of the two cameras to get in touch." The focus is primarily on two questions:
Who has made suspicious observations that could be related to the installation and/or reading of the spy cameras?
Who can provide information about the owner of the two cameras?
According to initial investigations, such camouflaged coat hooks are available on internet platforms.
