The Russian Defense Ministry indicated that aerial munitions exploded in the area of ​​the Saki military airport, causing several explosions today near Novovidorovka in the Crimea, without causing any casualties.

The ministry said in a statement carried by the Russia Today website: that several aerial munitions exploded in the area of ​​the Saki military airport near Novofedorovka, and no one was injured as a result of the explosion, and the aviation equipment at the airport was not damaged, while measures are being taken to extinguish the fire.

In addition, Oleg Kryuchkov, advisor to the President of Crimea, said that several explosions occurred in the Novofidorovka region on the western coast of the Crimea, calling on everyone to wait for official reports, and denying the authenticity of the news that a state of emergency was declared in the region.

For its part, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia said: According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in the Crimea, far from the resort area, and there are no casualties or injuries among tourists.

Some media, citing sources, reported: that the cause of the explosions near the air base in Novovidorovka was a fire while loading fuel.

It is reported that in the Novofedorovka region there is a military unit and a military airport.
