Drancy: Weedy, the dog abandoned by his master for three weeks, died

2022-08-09T17:38:34.645Z

A few days ago, Weedy, a four-year-old American Bully, was found "almost dead" by a bailiff who came to evict him.

Last Thursday, in Drancy, what should have been a classic expulsion turned into the last-minute rescue of a dog in poor condition.

The bailiff responsible for evicting Mathieu C., who had not paid his rent for several months, then found Weedy, a four-year-old American Bully, locked in the owner's bathroom, without water or food.

Totally skeletal, the dog was immediately cared for by the Action Protection Animale association, and taken to a veterinary clinic.

Since then, he has been on a drip.

“He seemed to be going up the slope, we really had hope”

This Tuesday, Weedy finally passed away.

“When dogs are abandoned for several weeks like Weedy, we cannot feed them directly by mouth because their digestive system is too damaged.

Weedy had therefore been on a drip for several days.

He seemed to be climbing the slope, we really had hope.

Yesterday we therefore started to feed him normally, but unfortunately his organs did not hold up,” explains Anne-Claire Chauvancy, president of the Action Protection Animale association.

Some neighbors would also have told the association that “it has happened several times that this gentleman violents his dog in the street.

Sometimes, the young people of the neighborhood even had to intervene”.

The version that the latter had given to the police according to which he would have been absent for three weeks to look for work is also called into question by the neighborhood who claims to have seen him in the surroundings.
