Fischbachauer Hagnbergstraße is to be renovated.

The municipality expects costs of around 450,000 euros, but first has to clarify land issues.

Fischbachau – If you turn off the B 307 onto Hagnbergstraße in the direction of Hammer, you will encounter the first potholes right at the junction with the village.

Because the road remains bumpy in the further course, the Fischbachau municipal council decided in principle and unanimously in its most recent meeting to rehabilitate it.

Hagnbergstraße Mayor Stefan Deingruber (CSU) as well as the two road consultants Martin Bacher (FWG) and Andreas Gschwendtner (CSU) put it on the agenda during the inspection of the transport network with the head of the building department Werner Wagner.

They checked throughout Fischbachau which streets most urgently needed to be renovated in order to work through the list one after the other in accordance with the budget.

The redevelopment of the ailing Hagnbergstrasse, together with the renewal of the retaining wall on Calvary, ended up at the top of the list of urgencies.

The cost of the refurbishment is likely to be around 450,000 euros.

The municipality has received an offer from an engineering office for the planning of the measure for 50,000 euros; the costs for the renovation itself are currently estimated at around 400,000 euros.

The engineering office should also examine options for covering part of the sum with subsidies.

Land acquisition and surveying costs are still missing from the cost accounting, with the first point being particularly interesting: Because the community had long ago established that registered property boundaries and street courses often deviate from the facts, the community council had decided to eliminate discrepancies in renovations through property purchases , real estate sales or real estate exchanges.

This now also applies to Hagnbergstraße:

The administration may only award the contract when all property conditions have been regulated in writing so that plan and reality correspond.

The council members insisted.

Because the engineering office first has to draw up a land acquisition plan, it is not yet possible to foresee how the changes to the property will affect the overall costs.

According to Deingruber, they should not make the project significantly more expensive.

Road ground is cheap compared to building ground, which limits the range of possible changes.

If the municipality has to sell more land than buy for the adjustments, the adjustments could even reduce the construction costs - but that too rather slightly

Because of the many open issues, the start of construction is likely to be delayed until next year: once the engineering office has finished the plan, the municipality will arrange meetings with the owners.

Negotiations, notary appointments, tendering, submission and finding an appointment with the executing company - "the probability that all this will take place this year", says Deingruber, "is low".
