Two tropical cyclones have already hit in less than two weeks in August. The Observatory played a combined typhoon. The No. 3 typhoon was issued today (9th) at 11:25. The Observatory said that the No. 3 typhoon will remain at least until 6 pm today. When typhoon signal No. 8 is hoisted, it will depend on changes in the intensity of the tropical depression and local wind changes.
Although there are variables in the typhoon series, the Observatory predicts that the wind will be quite strong tomorrow (10th), with squally heavy showers and thunderstorms, and there will be very large waves and swells in the sea. Up to Category 7, the offshore and highland areas initially reached Category 8, which is similar to the gale force of Typhoon Signal No. 8, and then turned to Category 5 from the southeast, and occasionally reached Category 6 offshore.
Winds eased over the next few days, but showers continued until next Thursday.

The Observatory predicts that the tropical cyclone in the central part of the South China Sea will move towards the western part of Guangdong to Hainan Island today and tomorrow, and will gradually intensify.
Affected by its outer rainbands, there will be squally heavy showers and thunderstorms in the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong in the next one or two days.
A broad trough of low pressure is expected to continue to bring showers to the northern part of the South China Sea later this week.
As the high-altitude anticyclone intensifies slightly, the weather in southeastern China will improve early next week.
Typhoon Signal No. 3 is now in effect. The Education Bureau announced that kindergartens, schools for children with physical disabilities, and schools for children with intellectual disabilities will suspend classes today, but schools will keep their school premises open, implement contingency measures, take care of students who have already attended school, and keep their school premises safe. Under such circumstances, students can be arranged to return home, and parents are urged not to rush to the school to pick up their children.

The weather forecast for the next nine days shows that the weather will continue to be unstable from this week to next week.
