More than ever, the preliminary elections for this year's Likud list are particularly difficult, interesting and fascinating • A lot has happened to the party since the last primaries in 2019, and only one unresolved question: yes Bibi, no Bibi • There are quite a few shocking scenarios being talked about in Likud - tomorrow we will know which of which will be fulfilled

One of the phrases that is repeated in the Likud primaries is: "This time these primaries are particularly difficult."

Well, let me repeat the cliché and add a bonus: they are extremely difficult, interesting and fascinating.

This is not just a battle for places on the Likud list, but much more than that - this is a battle for the character of the party.

Since the last primaries in the party, which were held before the first elections in 2019, a lot has happened to the political system in general and the Likud in particular.

Inconclusive election campaigns;

Likud veterans like Sa'ar, Elkin, and Shekel, who formed a government with Labor Meretz and Ra'am; only one question remained unresolved: yes Bibi, no Bibi.

In the primaries that will be held tomorrow (Wednesday), several fascinating points will be examined.

The first, the question of the soft right: Netanyahu wants to see a state list, moderate, very far from extreme statements, so that he can appeal to 3-2 mandates known as the "soft right", which are considered undecided and can decide the elections.

Compared to Netanyahu, contestants receive great sympathy as long as they loosen their tongues and speak from their hearts, such as Dodi Amsalem or Shlomo Karai who received compliments for an uncompromising war from the opposition benches.

The second interesting question, to which we will receive an answer in the next day, is what the media profile means in relation to the deals.

Contenders such as Galit Distel-Atbarian and Boaz Bismuth have a high and popular media profile.

Is it enough even without the big deals?

We will wait and see.

There are quite a few shaky scenarios being talked about in Likud - significant changes in the top five;

newcomers who will enter at the expense of veterans who will be pushed out;

What will happen to Edelstein, one of the party leaders, who dared to declare that he would run against Netanyahu and retracted it;

Will Cohen and Gallant, who came from the Kulan party, really become the surprise of the primaries, and more.

The answers will soon become clear.
