A bear managed to sneak into a car in the rural state of Montana, but was unable to open the door to get out, remaining stuck in the vehicle all night.
The plantigrade got into the blue car "a little after eleven o'clock at night" and stayed there "until seven o'clock in the morning", Mike Pilati, owner of the vehicle, told local channel KTVQ last week. .
“It was my car that he was chewing on”
The bear, a female, was likely looking for food, although Mr. Pilati, who resides in Red Lodge in southern Montana, said he left no food in his blue Subaru.
“From time to time, we heard a crack.
I thought he was chewing on a garbage can or something.
In fact, it was my car that he was chewing on, ”added Mr. Pilati.

After the discovery of the hairy intruder, Mike and his wife Maria called the sheriff but the latter, not understanding the urgency of the situation, told them that specialized agents would come the next day.
To free the animal, Mr. Pilati then took his courage in both hands and opened the door with a stick.
“The bear came in growling,” he recalls.
A video captured the scene and then the reunion of the bear with her two cubs who were nearby.
Result of the races: a ceiling ripped off with claws, a chewed-up dashboard, a fractured windshield and above all… a tenacious smell.
“Bears are smelly creatures,” asserts Mike Pilati.
