The National Security Department of the police arrested four men today, two of whom are social media group administrators, on suspicion of "acting with seditious intent", and two men for "fraud".

According to the source, the four arrested persons are civil servants. Two of the arrested group administrators are clerks in the Home Affairs Department and system analysis officers in the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer. The group they manage is "Civil Service Secrets". Expose inside government information.

The other two men arrested on suspicion of "fraud" are fire service ambulancemen.

The National Security Department took enforcement action this morning (9th) and arrested 2 men, aged 28 and 29, on suspicion of violating Sections 9 and 10 of the Crimes Ordinance (Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong) of "acting an act with seditious intent".

It is understood that the two are administrators of "Civil Service Secrets", serving as clerks in the Home Affairs Department and systems analysis officer in the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer.

The social platform has repeatedly posted seditious posts with the intent to arouse or deepen hatred and hostility among residents of different classes in Hong Kong.

The police also investigated 5 men, aged 28 to 38, who were also ambulancemen of the Fire Department in relation to the inciting posts of several "civil servant Secrets". The police later arrested 2 men on charges of "fraud". Alleging that they had forged documents.

The arrested persons are being released on bail pending further investigation.

The case is still under investigation and more arrests cannot be ruled out at a later date.

The reporter searched the group of civil servant secrets on the social platform and found a special page established in 2014, which was announced to be closed as early as 2018, and issued a document stating that a new special page will not be opened, and all similar special pages in the future are also irrelevant to this special page.

Another group that is still in use recently and is said to be the second generation of civil servant secrets is suspected to be closed, and the search shows "this content cannot be viewed at this time".
