Stuttgart - The number of traffic accidents in the southwest has recently increased significantly again.

In the first half of the year, the police in the southwest recorded 138,763 accidents - 13 percent more than in the same period last year, as the German Press Agency learned from the Ministry of the Interior.

"With the easing of the corona restrictions, public life has returned in many places," emphasized Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU).

"We can also see that in the number of accidents."

The number of bike accidents registered rose from 4732 to 5764. The number of motorcycle accidents increased in the first six months of the year by 15.2 percent to 2055 accidents.
