The nurse accused of causing the vehicular crash that killed six people, including a pregnant woman and nearly 1-year-old baby in Windsor Hills, already had a history of reckless driving and mental health issues.
Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37, was charged with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular manslaughter after driving 90 miles per hour, running a red light and causing the multiple accident on August 4.
The woman will face life in prison if found guilty.
According to the Los Angeles Times, investigators discovered that the woman had previously been involved in dangerous vehicle accidents, therefore they claim that Lorraine knew the threat that she was behind the wheel.

In total, the woman was previously involved in 13 crashes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In one of the accidents,
in 2020, there were bodily injuries and two cars were totaled.
So far there is no evidence of alcohol consumption related to the latest incident.
Halim Dhanidina, her defense attorney, asked that the hearing be postponed until October because she was reviewing the nurse's mental health history, according to the Los Angeles Times.
