American tennis player Serena Williams announced that her retirement is near in an Instagram post, in which, among other things, she said, "There comes a time in life when we have to decide to go in a different direction."

Williams is already a tennis legend thanks to her 23 Grand Slam titles, only one behind Margaret Court, the greatest winner of all time (both on the women's and men's circuits).
