Three people were killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident that took place in Diwaniyah, southern Iraq.
Alsumaria News website quoted the provincial police as saying in a statement today that "a collision between two cars on the Najaf-Ghammas road near the Al-Atiyah area in the province led to the death of three people and the injury of two others."
The police stated that preliminary investigations indicated that the causes of the accident were due to high speed and lack of attention on the part of drivers.
In mid-April, 11 people were killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident that took place in the Tunis area of Babil Governorate in southern Iraq.
