Inspired by the events of the last few days, some of the media rushed yesterday to tie crowns to Ebrahim Navolsi who was killed yesterday in Nablus.
He was presented as a significant figure in the world of terrorism, and his assassination was compared to the assassination of senior Islamic Jihad officials, Taysir Jabari and Khaled Mansour, in the latest operation in Gaza.
The truth is that there is no similarity between the cases or the personalities, not even in the method of operation.
The only tangent line is that in all the events, the dominant axis that connected the intelligence to the execution was the operations wing of the Shin Bet. Its people are the ones who gave the "action" to the Air Force in the two assassinations in Gaza, and to the IDF fighters yesterday in Nablus.

Navolsi was a member of a local squad that carried out terrorist attacks in Samaria.
His three teammates were eliminated in February of this year, but he managed to escape and has since become a star.
He was often interviewed by the media and also starred in the social networks, with some of the Israeli media cooperating with the ego building of the young Palestinian, who likened himself to the modern Zacharias Zabeidi.
Like Zabeidi, who operated from the refugee camp in Jenin, Nabulsi operated from the Kasbah in Nablus, from where he vowed to continue the jihad against Israel.
In recent days, the Shin Bet received information about attacks he was planning. Against the background of the operation in Gaza, it was decided to wait with his arrest, and also to take advantage of an opportunity when he would leave the crowded Kasbah - and then act. However, Navolsi continued to dig in the Kasbah, and against the background of the immediate threat, it was decided to send the navy fighters to him. M and the Shin Bet backed up by the IDF forces.
Despite the IDF's operational and intelligence control of the area, it was a relatively complicated operation due to the topographical structure of the Kasbah, its density, and the presence of many armed men in the vicinity. This is also the reason that the operation ended with a relatively high number of Palestinian casualties: three dead (Nabulsi and another wanted man who was with with him, and another gunman who shot at the troops), and many more wounded.
In Israel, they rushed to congratulate Navolsi's assassination.
The election season led to a flood of announcements, most of which were unnecessary: not every operation requires the politicians to thank the forces, and those who do should also know how to accept responsibility for future failures.

In the Palestinian Authority, on the other hand, there were those who were quick to promise revenge, which should also be taken with limited responsibility: Navolsi did not clearly belong to any organization, but was a local hero for a moment, who formed violent street gangs around him.
Hence, it is doubtful that anyone will rush to take revenge - certainly when it comes to Judea and Samaria against the background of the strong sting from the latest operation in Gaza.
And yet, Israel needs to give its opinion on the steadily increasing number of Palestinian deaths during operational activities since the beginning of the year.
The heavy pressure exerted on the territory since the wave of attacks in March, during which many Palestinians are arrested every night as part of Operation "Break the Waves" - may at some point provoke counter-pressure from the Palestinian street. Israel has an interest in fighting terrorism, but not in inciting the entire population against it.
Therefore, it must look for ways to focus the activity against terrorists and wanted persons, but at the same time, as much as possible, allow a normal life for the population.
A step like the opening of Ramon airport for Palestinian flights through Turkey (exposed by Shimon Ya'ish in Israel Hayom) is a worthy carrot, with a significant dividend on its side.
