The Association of Martyr Amin Al-Najjar, affiliated with the Revolutionary Youth Union in Daraa, launched today a dialogue workshop entitled “You have the right to run … because you deserve” as part of the national campaign to promote women’s participation in local council elections.
He called on the youth participating in the workshop to promote women's participation in local councils, as they are half of society, to help women overcome restrictions imposed by social reality, and to inform elected councils in cities, towns and municipalities the tasks of holding women-related courses and helping them secure livelihoods.
The Secretary of the Association of Martyr Amin Al-Najjar, Dia Al-Din Al-Saeed, stated that the workshop falls within the national campaign to enhance women’s participation in local council elections, with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of future women to run for elections and increasing women’s participation in managing their societies, specifically basic services that intersect on a daily basis with the paths of their lives and their families, whether health or Education, training, etc.
