An industrial accident occurred in Kwun Tong.
At about 3 pm today (10th), the police received a report that three workers were injured during work at a site on Cha Kwo Ling Road near Tin Hau Temple.
The site was the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel construction site. At that time, three workers were working on a work platform with a height of about 7 meters for the tunnel pipeline connection process. During the work platform, the work platform suddenly collapsed. They fell off the platform and were injured. One of them is in critical condition.
After investigation, the police believe that a 5m by 3m piece of concrete fell and crushed the platform.

The three male workers were injured, including a 30-year-old worker surnamed Huang and a 43-year-old local worker named Li, and a 67-year-old Nepalese worker.
Among them, Li was seriously injured, with fractured chest ribs and plate bones, and is currently in critical condition; Huang was injured in his feet.
The Nepalese worker suffered head and foot injuries and is currently in serious condition.
The incident happened at about 3:18 pm this afternoon. According to the initial report by the police, three workers were injured by the iron pressure, and two of them were suspected of being unconscious.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found two workers with bruises on their hands and feet, and the other worker was in a semi-conscious state.
On-site information said that the site was undergoing tunnel overpass construction at the time, during which the work platform suddenly collapsed, and as a result, three workers fell from the work platform.
After investigation by the police at the scene, it is believed that the three workers involved were working on the connection of tunnel pipes at a work platform about 7 meters high, and a piece of concrete about 5 meters long and 3 meters high fell to the platform, causing the platform It collapsed and three people fell off the platform and were injured.
The case is classified as an industrial accident.

The Industrial Casualty Rights Association sent staff to the hospital after the incident to understand the incident. According to the governor, Typhoon Signal No. 3 was still in effect when the incident occurred. It is suspected that the concrete involved fell and hit the workbench due to strong winds, causing the workbench to collapse.
The association expressed its sadness over the incident and once again urged the contractors and employers to ensure the safety of all workers, including securing and properly storing the materials on the site, so as to prevent falls and cause casualties.
The association also requested the Labour Department to thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and to prosecute if anyone found a violation.
According to the project information of the Civil Engineering and Development Department, the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel is a two-way two-lane road with a length of about 3.8 kilometers, connecting Tseung Kwan O and East Kowloon. The project is managed by the Civil Engineering and Development Department and will start construction in 2016. It will be completed by the end of 2022 at the earliest, involving an approved project budget of about 15.1 billion yuan.
The Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel, together with the T2 Trunk Road and Central Kowloon Route in the Kai Tak Development Area, will form Route 6 in the main road network.
