The Civil Guard is investigating the violent death of a 33-year-old woman in Alginet (Valencia) and the subsequent suicide of a 64-year-old man of Romanian nationality, who fell out of a window, fell onto public roads and died on the spot. according to the armed institute.

The events occurred between 7:30 and 8:00 this Wednesday in a house on Valencia Street, where the victim's children, aged eight and nine, were also found.

For the moment, the Civil Guard has ruled out that it is a case of gender violence by confirming that there was not and had not been a sentimental relationship between the two.

The man is the uncle of the victim's husband, who was not in the house, and who would have stabbed the woman to death, add municipal sources.

The local Alginet police have received several calls to 112 alerting that a man had thrown himself out of the window.

When the patrol reached the house on Valencia Street, the cries of the children, who were still inside the house, alerted the agents.

Once inside, the policemen have come across the body of the woman, who was lying dead with "several" stab wounds, some on her neck.

"We had no record of previous complaints or that there were problems of coexistence in the house," explains Andrés Añón, Councilor for Citizen Security, local police and acting mayor of Alginet.

At the time the events occurred, the man's nephew and the woman's husband was not there because he had gone to work.

The victim had been living in Alginet for more than 20 years, where her parents also reside, who have taken care of the minors after the event.

The City Council has called for this Thursday at 12:00 a silent rally at the door of the Consistory as a show of solidarity and condemnation of the woman's death.

The City Council itself speaks of the "need" to raise awareness about "domestic violence" in the message that they have spread through the social network Facebook.
