The symposium delivered by historical researcher Abdullah Hajjar at the Arab Cultural Center in Aziziyah included a reading of the book Halabiya Illuminations, which is part of the documentary series Halabiya Illuminations and talks about the archaeological landmarks of Aleppo.

The series includes social and cultural illuminations on thirty different topics about the city of Aleppo, its flags and memories, in addition to talking about the tangible cultural heritage in it, including archaeological buildings and intangible heritage, especially in social terms, in addition to illuminations about the intellectuals and pioneers in the city and the role of printing presses, libraries and books in this ancient heritage.

The first axis of the symposium started by talking about ancient Aleppo and the importance of its reconstruction, especially with regard to its ancient markets and inns. Hajjar explained in a statement to SANA reporter that his book Aleppo Illuminations includes colorful pictures of Aleppo that include social memories in the history of this city because the social situation is considered an important and fundamental thing as an intangible heritage. In addition to the importance of archaeological buildings and their reconstruction.

The director of the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Aziziyah, Jihad Al-Ghanima, pointed out the importance of such targeted cultural activities, which fall within the series of introducing the heritage to provide an archaeological and historical overview of Aleppo and shed light on the Aleppo families who had a pivotal role and left a clear imprint in the history of the city.

He stressed the importance of talking about archaeological monuments, which are considered a point of attraction for tourists, pointing to the history of some cultural and intellectual societies whose history, Hajjar, traced their history in terms of their founding, which is important for the younger generations to preserve this heritage as it documents important eras.

Among the attendees, Eng. Majdi Al-Sari, President of the Syrian Astronomical Society in Aleppo and a member of the Board of Directors of the Al-Adiyat Association, was the need to give an idea of ​​the ancient heritage of the city of Aleppo stretching over thousands of years, indicating the importance of awareness-raising heritage seminars in general to educate young people because heritage is part of our history.
