Belarus described relations with Russia in the military sphere as constructive.
The Belarusian Deputy Minister of Defense for International Military Cooperation Valery Revenko was quoted by RIA Novosti news agency as saying that our relations within the framework of the Union state are constructive and no one dictates to us how we should act, what to do, what we should sign and what not, unlike Western countries and their allies.
He stressed that the goal of the Belarusian military policy is to develop a strategic alliance with Russia that deters other countries from taking reckless actions against Minsk.
Revenko referred to Belarus' focus on cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, saying that this bloc is the basis for ensuring the security of Minsk and we believe in our allies and know that assistance will be provided in a timely manner.
