China today successfully launched 16 new satellites into space from the Taiwan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province.
The satellites were launched by a Long March 6 carrier rocket and successfully entered the planned orbit, Xinhua said. This new batch of satellites will be mainly used in areas such as commercial remote sensing and aerial photography.
This is the 432th mission of the Long March series of missiles.
