Two people were killed tonight (Wednesday) in a car accident between two private vehicles on Route 5, from the Shumron Crossing checkpoint towards the Shaar Shomron Interchange, near Rosh Ha'Ein.
The MDA team that was called to the scene determined the death of the two, who were trapped in their vehicle.
The MDA paramedic, Dor Tzbari, said that "the vehicles were in the opposite lanes when one of them caught fire and the drivers were trapped. We performed medical tests but they suffered from multi-system injuries and were without signs alive and after medical tests we had to determine their death."
The firefighters of the Petah Tikva station and the Shomron station rescued the two people trapped in the traffic accident and put out the fire that broke out in one of the vehicles.
