A Haushamer (19) and a Wiesseer (20) drunk and cheated a taxi driver for 41 euros in October 2021.

Now they are on trial because of it.

Hausham – You often come up with the craziest ideas when you're drunk.

If you've ever thought about hailing a cab, getting a ride home, and then fleeing without paying, it's best not to do that.

But two young boys did exactly that in October 2021. The 19-year-old Haushamer and the 20-year-old Wiesseer now received their receipt from the Miesbach youth court.

There they had to answer for fraud and were fined.

It was a crazy idea, the duo testified in court.

The two friends had a taxi driver pick them up from the Spinnradl on the Spitzingsee.

The two got out in Hausham.

"We left and said that we still have to get money from the savings bank," says 19-year-old Haushamer.

But then the two ran away – without giving the taxi driver the 41 euros she was asking for the trip.

"That was stupid of us, and we're sorry," added Haushamer.

They were both "a little drunk," the 19-year-old admitted, which is why the idea came up in the first place.

"I don't remember how much we drank, but we were very drunk," added the 20-year-old Wiesseer.

The two had already repaid the 41 euros to the taxi company.

That was the end of the matter for the taxi driver.

Because of the apology and the payment of the amount, she is no longer interested in criminal prosecution.

The crazy idea should still be a lesson for the two buddies.

At least in the form of a payment of 200 euros each, the prosecutor requested.

District court director Klaus-Jürgen Schmid saw it the same way and added: "It wasn't dramatic, but something like that just doesn't work." Above all, Schmid reprimanded Wiesseer because he already has a criminal record for a property crime.

Schmid warned: "Next time there will be an arrest – the 200 euros are already a mild request from the public prosecutor's office."
