Four cute dwarf rabbits found on the road bike - were they just abandoned?

Four dwarf rabbits were found on the side of the road in Iserlohn.

The police collected them.

The shelter assumes they were abandoned.

Iserlohn – The police discovered and collected four dwarf rabbits on the side of the road in Iserlohn (NRW).

A fifth animal managed to escape.

Investigators suspect that the cute rabbits were simply abandoned.

The dwarf rabbits were noticed more or less by chance by a police patrol on Tuesday morning (9 August).

Shortly after 9 a.m., the officials saw the animals on the edge of the Asbecker Weg in Iserlohn, as reported by 24RHEIN.

There were five of the dwarf rabbits.

"Four animals were caught, one black specimen managed to escape," the police said.

The cute long ears were then taken to the animal shelter.

According to the police, this is currently fully booked, but still took in the rabbits.

There they are sure that the rabbits were abandoned.

“Every day we are currently confronted with found animals.

We think that it is often the ill-considered corona purchases that are now becoming annoying,” wrote the Iserlohn animal shelter on Facebook.

The rabbits are apparently the parents with two young animals.

An owner has not yet been identified.

In addition to their other duties, the police often have to intervene to save animals.

It was only in July that a woman in Euskirchen left her dog in the car at 36 degrees without water and with the window open.

The police and fire brigade intervened to save the four-legged friend.
