Sparkasse Dachau with a positive report for 2021 – total assets 4.13 billion euros

Dachau – The board of directors of Sparkasse Dachau is satisfied with the course of business at the bank in 2021. In the Sparkasse's recently published annual report, board members Hermann Krenn and Thomas Schmid speak of a "positive financial year 2021".

The Sparkasse's earnings situation has developed "satisfactorily".

Result: 19.4 million euros

Its pre-tax profit from ordinary activities was EUR 19.4 million in 2021.

In 2020 it was almost 18.8 million euros.

The balance sheet total of Sparkasse Dachau also increased compared to the previous year.

In 2021 it rose to 4.13 billion euros.

The slight growth of EUR 71.6 million or 1.76 percent compared to the previous year is mainly due to the customer loan and customer deposit business as well as the company's own securities business.

Receivables from customers amount to 3.04 billion euros

At EUR 3.04 billion, receivables from customers are EUR 64.1 million or 2.2 percent above the previous year's level.

According to the Management Board, this change is due to the continued high demand for housing construction loans.

Despite the increased demand from customers for loans, the Sparkasse earned less from them.

Their interest income fell from 59.2 million euros in 2020 to 54.4 million euros in 2021.

In addition to the lending business, the brokerage of insurance, securities, building savings contracts and real estate is the second lucrative business area of Sparkasse Dachau.

Your commission income rose from EUR 24.8 million in 2020 to EUR 27.3 million in 2021. Although there were declines in the home savings and insurance business, according to the Sparkasse, "the sales figures in the securities and real estate business have developed positively". .

Liabilities to customers increase

It was surprising that the liabilities of Sparkasse Dachau to its customers increased by almost seven percent compared to the previous year, despite the levying of "custody fees".

They now amount to 3.1 billion euros.

The Sparkasse also reports that although savings have declined, customer deposits on overnight deposits have risen sharply, especially among private individuals.
