Heat wave: in Paris, six additional green spaces open until midnight

The third heat wave of the summer is continuing in mainland France, with a peak expected at the end of the week.

Some 35°C are expected from Friday in the Paris region.

Faced with this situation, the town hall of Paris has decided that “additional parks and gardens” would be open until midnight, starting this Wednesday.

Six green spaces are affected by these extended hours until Sunday.

These are Parc Monceau (8th arrondissement), Square Marcel Pagnol (8th), Square Montholon (9th), Park Georges Brassens (15th), Parc André Citroën (15th) and Parc Clichy Batignolles - Martin Luther King (17th).

Specific monitoring device

"The City of Paris has set up a specific monitoring system, so that this opening takes place in the best conditions for Parisians and visitors", specifies the municipality.

These green spaces are in addition to the 14 others already open until midnight, but which will remain open until the end of the summer period, on September 4.
