The orthodox rapper continues to touch the sensitive nerves and pulls out a surprising third single.
Benjamin Luria presents his new single that continues the unique musical line he sketched in the previous two singles, Jewish hip-hop-trap.
The new song is called "Life in a movie" and as it is named, it touches on our daily dealings with ourselves and the environment and speaks out loud about the gaps between what is desired and what is found.
As usual, Luria is not afraid to put in his words the truth that is sometimes bitter and painful, but in the end it is wrapped in hope and faith.
A great shepherd's heart that is featured in the song - brings with him the inner Jewish cry that complements Luria's rap lyrics like a glove and turns the song into a kind of magic tapestry whose feet are in the earth and whose head is in the sky.
"This song was born when I suffered a severe disappointment from something I had been working on for months," says Luria, "I thought that something would go 'just the way I wanted' as it says in the song. After being sad from morning to night, I asked myself - my son, what is the 'Saba Kaddisha'
"Saba Kadisha was one of thirty hidden righteous people who lived in our generation and his famous nickname was "Saba Netanya" or "Saba Lev".
He had the privilege of learning Torah from the Chazoa and was a man of wonder that tzaddikim testified about him after his death that he was 100 tzadikim.
I had the privilege of being with him a lot and learning from him and I really liked him, and I started writing sentences that he would repeat a lot when he talked to me.
In fact, the entire third stanza of the song is his quotes," he said.
