The company's general manager, Fadi Choucair, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the date for receiving the farmers' crop will be determined in the coming days based on the degree of sweetness and maturity of the grapes in the main production areas, pointing to the company's role as it represents one of the main marketing outlets for farmers to dispose of their production.

According to the head of the Suwayda Peasants’ Union, Samir Al-Baini, the Syrian company for the manufacture of grapes in Sweida granted, according to a memorandum of understanding with the union during the last period, an advance of 500 million pounds to need assistance for farmers wishing to hand over their crop to the company to provide part of the production requirements and to enable them to continue working in light of the repercussions of the unjust economic siege on Syria.
Al-Baini indicated that the mechanisms that transport the crop to the company will be supported with diesel, and it was agreed to allocate 5 liters of the substance to each farmer for each ton marketed as a matter of encouragement and motivating him to market.
The total area planted with grape-producing vines in the governorate is 9977 hectares, containing 4 million and 750 thousand trees, of which the fruit is 4 million and 250 thousand trees.
