Becky Ann Galantin is the most successful supernatural influencer on TikTok, where she has amassed more than 600,000 followers who accompany her on her journeys to abandoned and haunted places to capture ghosts and uncover their hidden history.

Becky-Ann Galantin grew up to parents who owned an antique store in western Pennsylvania and was fascinated by all things ghosts from an early age.

Researching haunted and abandoned places is now her main career and with more than 600 thousand followers on Tiktok and almost 100 thousand on Instagram, there is no doubt that she has gathered a devoted fan base that only encourages her to continue her investigations.

She does most of her investigations in the US, as she travels around the country to uncover the forgotten past of dark places and tell about experiences of death and grief that we are not used to hearing.

She told "Daily Mail": "I like to share sides of death and grief that people are not used to hearing. Grief is like a roller coaster. There are ups and downs in certain stories. For example. Someone married a man after he died. At first it sounds strange, but who Are we the ones who judge people on their grieving process?".

The 31-year-old influencer developed a love for the supernatural but turned it into a career when she moved to Connecticut a few years ago.

She said: "New England really embraces all the weird. Everywhere I went, even people I worked with or people I bumped into along the way told me 'I have this ghost story' or 'I had this happen to me.' I heard a lot of experiences while wandering through the epidemic".

Becky-An has so far explored a large number of abandoned places, including haunted hotels, forests and even theme parks in Central and South America.

She said: "My first experience of ghost hunting was when I was a teenager. It was when I said to my brother's friend 'let's go ghost hunting' and he went along with me. We walked up the road to a cemetery and had a flashlight, a camera and a cheap cell phone. After about 15 minutes we were disappointed, We packed up all our things and said 'let's go home - this is ridiculous'. At the same moment we turned off the lights and called my mum to come pick us up, I caught a strange glowing ball out of the corner of my eye. It was so vague and strange in the dark sky. I could see it floating between two trees . He hovered for about 15 seconds while we sat, we both agreed we were seeing the same thing - then he just floated down and glided around us without making any noise. It felt like the world stopped. He passed between my friend and me, and we both jumped in opposite directions. I'm glad I wasn't there alone and that there was someone who verified what I saw.

Since then she claims her life has changed.

"It changed my life and it became the main thing in my life. I would arrive late to class because my friends and I went out to cemeteries, abandoned train stations, schools - wherever you can go to be exposed to something like this again."

And then it came home to her

Although she is used to traveling far and wide to track down paranormal activity, Becky-Ann claims that one of the scariest experiences she ever had happened in her own home.

She said: "A shadowy figure entered my house, a few years after my first experience. I was sleeping and suddenly the door opened. There was a full figure there - I could almost see the light in her eyes. I tried to wake up my partner but I had sleep paralysis and I felt that this was it, like this I'm going to die. I smelled this horrible mothball smell - the worst smell I've ever smelled. So, to my surprise, she walked out the door and into my partner's room. I thought to myself, 'Well, it must have been my partner walking into the room.' The next day I get a call from him And he tells me that during the night someone touched his leg and then went down the stairs. He also smelled the mothballs. If he hadn't told me that, I would have ignored it - but he also experienced it, so apparently something inexplicable really happened there."

Becky-Ann understands that many will not believe that her experiences are real, but does not let that stop her from continuing to share her stories with her hundreds of thousands of followers.

She said: "I'm not trying to convince the skeptics. In my eyes, there's no value in fighting tooth and nail with someone who doesn't believe. If someone hasn't had an experience like mine, I definitely understand why they would have trouble believing. Those who have - know that I'm right."
