Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned that many countries seek to deny and get rid of Russia and its culture.
Russia Today quoted Peskov as saying: "We see many countries that go beyond the limits of what is reasonable... Can Tchaikovsky be denied... No... Can Russia be denied... No... No matter what you want, this is impossible."
Peskov commented on the decision of the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda to strip two female athletes Margarita Drubiazko and Povilas Vanagas of Lithuanian government decorations for their participation in the ice ballet “Swan Lake” under the supervision of the Russian Olympic champion in figure skating Tatiana Navka, who was imposed by sanctions by Western countries, saying: “ Even though the athletes are stripped of their honors, they will still have a lot of fans.”
