Zuhair Naji is a cultural encyclopedia full of colors of knowledge in historical research and documentation. He probed the events of history and read them carefully and realized their significance. He worked diligently to correct many of the mistakes that were marred by them, as the studies, research and literature he presented to the Arab Library constituted a reference for every seeker of knowledge, science and the mysteries of historical events and facts.

The researcher, who made history a field for in-depth studies, spent his years trying to present the correct image of Arab civilization away from distortion and falsification, as his upbringing in the validity of Damascus played a major role in giving him culture and curiosity, as it was a scientific and historical center.

Naji was famous for his strong presence in cultural and media forums related to monuments, archaeological and historical monuments, and his great interest in national and patriotic issues.

And about the reasons for his interest in history between Naji in an interview with SANA, that he cared for it and researched its fields, because history, according to him, when it is true, sound and free from tampering, teaches people love and thus leads to the love of the homeland and contributes to building a good citizen, stressing that there are those who always seek to falsify our history, so it is necessary We have to look into its fields and evoke the ancient and positive ones, and not let other nations precede us in this field.

Naji, who has in his credit more than forty books on history, believes that the most dangerous thing that a person can be exposed to is his path to other than his history, indicating that there are many books that distorted our historical personalities and are in the context of conspiracies aimed at canceling our Arab history so that we cannot defend ourselves and our identity.

Naji collected many historical documents that lead to a real knowledge of history and dealing with it correctly, and published them in a book issued by the Arab Writers Union entitled “Do You Know Your Country”.

There are stations through which Arab culture spread three hundred years before Islam, according to Naji, and among these markets are Okaz, Bahrain, Al-Hira and Basra, where preachers, writers and poets used to meet.

Naji called for sticking to our history and language to support the culture of resistance and to be able to stand in the way of normalization, because we are thus defending our civilization and identity.

Naji stresses the need to be proud of our nation's history and civilization, and thus prepare for the conspiracies plotted for our nation.
