The Homeland Wounded Project announced that more than 5,000 wounded have changed their disability ratio after the military medical councils and committees completed their work in implementing the law of multiple injuries to the wounded in the army and allied forces.
The Wounded Al-Watan Project explained in a video posted on its Facebook page that 902 wounded people whose disability rate exceeded 40% and became partially disabled within the project, and 309 wounded people moved from the partial disability segment to the subtotal, and therefore they will receive broader services from the project, the most important of which is economic support and increased compensation or their monthly salary.
The project added that 180 wounded people moved from the sub-total disability segment to the total and will receive the degree of service and care from the project, pointing out that 3,675 wounded have increased their disability segment without changing the disability segment classified within them, but the percentage of compensation or salaries they receive increased according to the law.
The project indicated that the classification of the disability segments on which it is based in providing its services and care for the war-wounded is from 80 to 100 for the kidney, from 70 to 79 under the total, and from 40 to 69 for the partial, indicating that the changes that occurred in the percentages and categories of disability are evidence of the justice of the multiple injury law in assessing Injuries to the wounded.
It is noteworthy that the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Bashar al-Assad, issued the Multiple Injury Law No. 26 of 2020, and it carries a wide aspect of evaluative justice among the wounded and raises the level of care and financial support provided to them, as it depends on a sophisticated method that takes into account all the injuries suffered by the military.
