The Syrian-Korean-Democratic Joint Technical Committee discussed joint industrial cooperation

During a meeting held today at the Ministry of Industry building, the possibility of benefiting from the technical expertise of the DPRK in rehabilitating production lines and machines of the companies of the General Organization for Engineering Industries damaged by the terrorist war and the systematic destruction of the industrial sector.

During its meeting, chaired by Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh and Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Damascus, Kim Hae-ryong, the committee discussed the current status of the companies of the General Organization for Engineering Industries offered for investment. Machines, equipment and production lines to be restarted productively.

The meeting of the committee was attended on the Syrian side by Deputy Minister of Industry Ayman Khoury, Director of the General Establishment for Engineering Industries Abdullah Al-Nama, Technical and Production Director Muhannad Jareks and the concerned directors of the Engineering Corporation, and for the Korean side, political and economic advisor at the embassy Choi Chang Ho and Wadah Kayal, director of the Syrian-Korean Technologies Company.

The Minister of Industry and the Chargé d'Affairs agreed during their meeting on the second of this month to form this committee to set the initial principles for the fields of joint industrial cooperation, follow up cooperation and coordination and activate the memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides.
