A fatal accident happened this evening on Route 5 near the Shumron interchange.
MDA teams had to determine the death of two car passengers who collided and were thrown into opposite lanes by the force of the impact. One of them caught fire.
MDA paramedic Dor Tzbari said: "This is a very serious car accident.
The vehicles were in the opposite lanes when one of them caught fire and the drivers were trapped.
We performed medical tests, but they suffered from multiple systemic injuries and had no signs of life, and after medical tests we had to pronounce them dead."
