The outer rainbands associated with Tropical Cyclone Mulan are affecting the coast of Guangdong.
Tropical Storm Mulan has weakened into a tropical depression.
At 6:00 a.m., Mulan gathered about 170 kilometers east of Hanoi and was expected to move west-northwestward at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, moving into the inland of northern Vietnam and gradually weakening.
At the same time, a tropical depression in the northwestern Pacific Ocean is about 820 kilometers south-southwest of Tokyo, and is expected to move north-northwestward at a speed of about 14 kilometers per hour, moving towards the area of Honshu, Japan.
The weather forecast for Hong Kong today is mainly cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is about 30 degrees. The wind is moderate to the southeast, with strong winds from offshore and highlands at first.
