Boy (12) steals cigarettes and hits Rewe employees with a metal bar

An employee in a Rewe market in Bruchköbel becomes aware of a 12-year-old.
Shortly thereafter, a scuffle ensues.
Bruchköbel - Hard to believe, but true: A twelve-year-old boy in Bruchköbel (Main-Kinzig-Kreis) near Hanau first stole cigarettes and then attacked an employee with a metal pole.
This was announced by the police in Southeast Hesse.
What happened?
The boy first stole a carton of cigarettes on Tuesday afternoon (August 9) in the Rewe market on Waldseestrasse.
An employee smelled the roast and confronted the young thief at the market exit, the police reported.
The 12-year-old then hit the employee with a metal bar against the ribs, as reported by op-online.de.

Then there was a scuffle.
Both the stolen cigarettes from Rewe and the metal rod fell to the ground, the boy fled towards the city center and got on a bus in Bruchköbel.
There the police picked up the 12-year-old.
It is not yet known what punishment the 12-year-old will face.
"Since the underage accused is still under criminal responsibility, the facts will now first be submitted to the responsible public prosecutor for a further decision," writes the police.
