- New ways for even better service for customers - that is the motto of the Böltl butcher's shop in Kirchheim.

After the renovation of the branch, the first self-service shop has now been opened.

From now on you can buy the products of the traditional butcher around the clock.

"Today's customers need more flexibility," says Bernhard Hermann, owner and managing director of the Böltl butcher's shop.

No waiting times

“Thanks to the digital technology of the company 'SmartStore24', our customers can now shop with us outside of the usual opening hours.

In addition, there are no waiting times in the store – not even when picking up pre-ordered goods.”

Every product is recorded digitally

And this is how self-service works: Each product is digitally recorded and provided with a small sticker containing a small antenna.

Incoming and outgoing goods are monitored in real time, and even the shelf life of the products can be managed digitally.

According to the press release, the system knows exactly what has been purchased and which product needs to be refilled and in what quantity.

This makes it easy for butchers to keep their promises of freshness and quality.

Payment is made by credit card

It's even easier for the customer: choose the products and go to the checkout.

The technology recognizes the products, payment is made by credit card or direct debit.

Hermann: “We sense that our customers are very open to this new system, and that applies to all age groups.
