The new edition of the culinary evening in Miesbach was a success.

There was something to discover in every corner of the old town - and all the senses were catered for.

Miesbach

– A few steps through the winding old town are enough to jump back and forth between the sensory worlds.

If you felt like you were in (South) Tyrol with Kaspressknödel and brass band music in Heimbucherwinkl, Fraunhoferstraße a few meters further exuded southern Italian flair with deckchairs, cocktails and a solo entertainer who imitated songs by Eros Ramazzotti & Co. so perfectly that some people at a concert in the Arena di Verona.

Over in the Manhardtwinkl there was a Hollywood atmosphere with a fashion and car show on the red carpet with a fog machine and cool DJ music, while in the Marktwinkl you could take a break from the hustle and bustle with the sounds of a harp in a kind of oasis of calm.

There was actually reason to "get stuck" at all locations of the culinary evening in Miesbach.

But then there was curiosity again about what surprises were waiting for you in the other streets and squares.

And of course who else you will meet there.

"I meet people I haven't seen in years," said one enthusiastic visitor.

One person who would have liked to be everywhere at the same time (and actually tried to be) is Benedikt Waizmann.

For the new head of Miesbach city marketing, the new edition of the pen after a two-year Corona break was a double premiere: not only for him in his new function, but also because the city took over the role of organizer from the Miesbach joint advertising agency (GWM) for the first time has.

"A successful joint venture," sums up a noticeably relieved Waizmann after a short night (it took until 2:30 to dismantle the pen).

He explains his hoarse voice with the telephone marathon he had mastered the day before.

Playing style: the car-free city square was transformed into a creative area for children and young people.

The asphalt was soon decorated with colorful paintings.

A few of the conversations also had to do with the stage on the market square, reports Waizmann.

At 4 p.m., the colleagues from Laut & Hell spontaneously enlarged it a bit to create more space for the performances of the clubs.

The Trachtler children, on the other hand, improvised and showed her dances downstairs in the audience.

"Great solution," says Waizmann happily.

The sidewalk chalks at the top of the town square also went down surprisingly well for him.

In the course of the evening, the road was colorful, the colors used up.

"Bombig", enthuses Waizmann, who thanks not only the GWM, but also his colleagues in the town hall, cultural office and building yard for the support.

Cheers: Maria Senftner pouring.

The words of welcome were spoken by Second Mayor Astrid Güldner and Third Mayor Franz Mayer, who launched the pen in 2003 as GWM boss.

"With the pen we are showing that we can celebrate attractive festivals, but also that Miesbach is a shopping town with a special shopping experience," said Güldner, while Mayer recalled the premiere in 2003, where at 5 p.m. it was thought that nobody would come and then at 8 p.m. the food ran out.

It was also isolated in 2022.

For example, at “Ox im Vinschgerl” at Optik Bucher, shortly after 7 p.m. it was “sold out”.

But nobody had to starve in view of the numerous alternatives.

The paths to sensual happiness were short with the pen.
