At the annual general meeting of the Wartenberg youth community, Michael Weiß was elected the new chairman.

Wartenberg – Like many other clubs, the Wartenberg youth community held its annual general meeting for several years at once and new elections were pending.

There are currently 64 members, and the board was “relatively motivated” when it started, only to be thoroughly slowed down by the pandemic.

The carnival party was still well attended, but then everything was closed again.

It wasn't until this year that we were able to really crank things up, among other things with the open day in the community center, which was well attended.

A repetition is possible.

The newly purchased grill and two beer table sets, which were made possible by a donation from a local bank, could help.

New elections at the annual general meeting in Wartenberg

The new elections were chaired by the market councilors Isabell Haindl and Simon Grandinger.

The minutes were kept by the representative of the district youth council, Emi Hatellari.

Michael Weiß was elected chairman, Christian Fellermeier his deputy.

There was even a contest for the position of first cashier, with Maxi Piechaczek beating Lena Haindl by a hair's breadth.

She was unanimously elected second treasurer.

Sophia Hellinger became secretary.

Assessors are Georg Stübinger, Max Bergmann, Florian Winbürger and Katja Baumann.

The cash register is checked by Samuel Gromes and Stephan Vogt.

Market Councilor Simon Grandinger, who chaired the election with council colleague Isabell Haindl, brought the greetings of Mayor Christian Pröbst: He would like to see if the youth community could also come up with a contribution to the cultural summer.

The organizer of all events on the Nikolaiberg is the market, which limits the risk for the youth community.

The reactions to it were positive.

There will be a few more popular events this year.

A cultural contribution was also discussed, based on a new novel in which two young people play the heroes.
