The wait is finally over: tomorrow, Friday, the Böbing Open Air (BOA) will open its doors at 4 p.m.
There will be celebrations for three days.
Böbing – The festival is under a lucky star: so far there have been no unexpected surprises, the set-up went smoothly and “top notch”, as the organizers enthusiastically tell us.
The BOA team has the support of 40 to 50 volunteers, friends, acquaintances and the municipality of Böbing, who together build booths, set up bars and set up stages.
"The cohesion is amazing and the anticipation is huge," says co-organizer Frank Hoffmann, beaming.
And Petrus also seems to be looking forward to the open air: the weather forecast promises ideal festival weather.
Not too hot and no rain.
This will also please those who settle down at the campsite for two days.
This is already open from 12 p.m. so that everyone has enough time to set up their tent in a stable manner before the start of the concerts.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.)
Böbing Open Air: "We have enough tickets"
And: This time there is also a ticket office where the festival wristbands can be issued and any missing camping tickets can be purchased.
"But don't stress, we have enough tickets," reassured the members of the team.
Both for the campers and for the festival visitors.
Day tickets and two-day tickets are still available at the on-site ticket offices for those who decide to go on the spur of the moment.
And also on Sunday, the additional anniversary day, nobody will be turned away at the entrance.
This starts at 6 p.m. with “Mr.
Mojoe" and the "Orchester Kurzweil" before the "Grands Messieurs" from the "Spider Murphy Gang" form the crowning conclusion.
However, camping is no longer possible on this day.
Traditionally, you don't need a ticket at all on Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., everyone is invited to a white sausage breakfast with the Böbing brass band.
Someone else should say that BOA can only do punk.
The official admission is then again at 2.30 p.m.
In the Shake Guarantee area, the festival is better positioned this time than ever before.
"That's a positive consequence of the forced break," the organizers say with a wink.
Because of the postponements, even more headliners than usual like "The Baboon Show", "Talco", "Emil Bulls", "Tubolader" and many more have announced themselves.
Because everyone who was booked for planned and then canceled open airs has confirmed their attendance again.
The team is happy, the visitors are happy, the bands are happy, everything is ready and the weather is going to be great: let the festival begin.
