Drugging animals borders on animal cruelty.

TikTok users think so too.

They are furious when an owner films his cat that has been kicked away.

Is that still a laugh or is the shitstorm justified?

It's hard to tell by watching a TikTok user's video.

This is very special and is currently dividing the community.

While some laugh heartily about it, there are others who are angry.

They even accuse the user of animal cruelty.

But one by one.

A few days ago, TikToker “rot4moises” from Paraguay shared a short clip on the social platform.

In it he first describes how his cat accidentally ate a marijuana brownie.

Apparently he left the pastries open, he claims in the video.

He then pans to his cat perched on top of the fridge.

And the sight has it all: the cat's eyelids hang at half-staff, he seems totally dazed and absent.

In addition, he no longer seems to have his facial motor skills under control.

Its mouth is open and saliva runs out of it.

Its owner finds the scene so amusing that he has to share it with his followers.

But some are outraged and leave it out in the comments.

One even asks him to take the animal to the vet immediately.

Others accuse the owner of intentionally letting the velvet paw eat a hashish brownie to get more clicks on TikTok.

At least he did the latter, the clip is going viral and already has 14.4 million views (as of August 10).

Finally, one user says that this is not animal cruelty, but that it is "irresponsible" for the user to simply leave the cookies lying around.

Finally, pastries contain other ingredients, such as chocolate, that are unhealthy for dogs and cats.

Among other things, it contains the substance theobromine, which can even be deadly from a certain amount.

The master of the velvet paw finally defends himself in another video by explaining that the cat is fine and is behaving completely normally again.

He also points the camera at the house cat and strokes it.

Luckily, the effects of the hash brownies only lasted a few hours.
