– After twelve weeks, the household survey of the 2022 census ended last Saturday.

But the census is not over yet.

According to a press release, the interim result of the survey office in the district office is mostly positive.

Numerous voluntary survey officers were to visit and interview 27,000 people at around 5,700 addresses in the district over the past twelve weeks.

"So far we have been able to reach 23,900 people directly." Everyone who could no longer be interviewed in person by Saturday or who have already missed two appointments, "now slips into a dunning procedure," says the head of the survey agency, Karin Weiß.

“The very large proportion of the population was really very open and cooperative towards the surveys.

The feedback from our volunteer interviewers was good in most cases.”

This is necessary because, according to the law, all persons whose address was included in the sample for the household survey are required to provide information.

If you still don't get any feedback after the date specified in the letter, the last resort is a fine and penalty payment procedure.

"We want to avoid that if possible." For meaningful statistics, it is necessary to get information from everyone who falls into the random household survey.

The survey agency is appealing to all those still in default who are required to provide information to participate in the census.
