Mare-biting, not a team player: Bad words were spoken in the Waakirchner municipal council.

They were aimed at the green municipal councilors Cornelia Riepe and Evi Obermüller.

The trigger was the change of her ex-group colleague Carsten Brockmann to ABV.

Waakirchen –

Carsten Brockmann did a lot to ensure that the Greens entered the municipal council for the first time in the 2020 local elections.

The party won three seats straight away.

In addition, a parliamentary group was formed with the SPD, which has only one mandate.

With this strength, the group was well represented in the committees.

But comrade Andreas Kilian – who has since left because of moving – canceled the cooperation and joined the ABV.

And Brockmann first left the parliamentary group – because of personal differences – and then the party as well.

He has now ended his status as a lone fighter by switching to ABV.

The ABV thus grows to four seats.

Thanks to the cooperation with the SPD – now represented by Jan Heiermann – there are even five.

This puts the ABV on a par with the CSU and FWG.

For the Greens: Committees increased from seven to eight votes

The two green municipal councilors Cornelia Riepe and Evi Obermüller are left behind.

As a duo, they would no longer be entitled to a place there with the previous committee size of seven seats.

Mayor Norbert Kerkel (FWG) explained that the calculation model that stipulates this cannot be shaken.

However, he thinks it is important that all parliamentary groups continue to be represented in the committees.

His suggestion: the committee size is increased to eight.

Then the Greens are legally entitled to a seat again.

The recommendation was accepted by a vote of 12:8, but encountered strong opposition from opponents.

The two green women would first scare Kilian and then Brockmann, said Christine Weindl (CSU).

Both went to the ABV with Rudi Reber at the top: "Rudi isn't stupid, he fishes people so that he gets more seats.

"Lack of teamwork"

Gisela Hölscher (FW) joined the blame.

She doesn't want to use the word biting bite, but it must be possible to separate emotional and work-related things for the duration of a legislature.

She is against an enlargement of the committees because this costs the taxpayer several thousand euros because of the attendance fees.

Günther Jeske (FWG) also accused Riepe and Obermüller of a lack of teamwork: "That's why they don't have a man in their ranks anymore."

Brockmann silently followed the debate in his new position at the ABV.

Meanwhile, Riepe felt "like in the wrong movie" and Obermüller defended himself against the "presumptuous judgment without knowing the background".

The municipal councilors received encouragement from Robert Englmann, Alfred Finger (both CSU) and Jan Heiermann (SPD), who the Greens did not want to do without in the committees: the constructive work up to now should continue.
