Fang Zhongxian, the former president of the Student Union of Baptist University, was convicted of resisting arrest and obstructing justice and sentenced to 9 months in prison for purchasing a laser pen and failing to cooperate when the police stopped investigation during the opposition to the amendment.

He was released from prison today (11th) and revealed that he will leave Hong Kong in the next few weeks to study at the University of London in the United Kingdom for a period of three years.
