The Food Expo opened today (11th). Exhibitors have come up with different strategies, offering discounts to attract customers, hoping to increase their turnover with the "assistance" of the second phase of consumption coupons.
In the first morning session, the crowd flow was good, and many booths were attracted by the public "besieged". Some exhibitors said that the crowd flow was better than expected. Some people spent 7,000 yuan to buy seafood, and some small merchants pointed out that they would distribute consumption in smaller installments. Vouchers are good for sales, because citizens are more willing to spend on less popular food.
The five-day food expo just in time for the issuance of consumer coupons in the second phase, coupled with the relaxation of crowd restrictions, attracted a large number of people today.
Chen Yuecheng, executive director of Tai Po Revitalization Co., Ltd., said that the flow of people was better than expected, and he was also satisfied with the turnover for the time being.
He pointed out that consumer coupons can drive consumption, and issuing consumer coupons in stages is more conducive to exhibition sales. Because consumer coupons are issued in small amounts, citizens may not buy luxury goods, but are willing to spend on daily necessities or food.
The best-selling product for the time being is beef balls, and it is expected that the turnover will be 10 to 20% higher than last year.
Pan Quanhui, executive general manager of On Kee Seafood, said that this year, the products sold well, the time required for sales was shortened, and the flow of people and consumption intentions were better than expected. In addition to consumer coupons, the completion of this year's exhibition station will also help increase the flow of people.
Just two hours after the opening, some customers have spent about 7,000 yuan on abalone and seafood, and they are optimistic about the spending power of citizens this year.
At the scene, many citizens brought their own trolleys to sweep the goods, and Mr. Au and his wife even went through the booth shopping with a trolley.
He pointed out that he participates in the Food Expo every year and never misses it. He left Tuen Mun early this morning. He expected to spend two to three thousand yuan to buy food, and planned to spend all his and his wife's consumption coupons. Stuffed with trophies, he laughed and said, "Two cars are not enough."
