It was the municipality of Sirmione (Lombardy), on the shores of Lake Garda, which first had the idea in 2009 of developing these spaces.

The latest zone was created in early August in Anacapri, on the island of Capri, off Naples.
More precisely on the Belvedere del Sognatore (in French: the Belvedere of the Dreamer), a place accessible via a staircase dug in the rock located near the lighthouse of Punta Carena.
For the time being, less than a dozen zones have been created throughout the country, on the initiative of municipalities or the inhabitants themselves.
