Eichenried
– The grief for Tobis D. is great.
Above all, friends and relatives miss the 25-year-old, who disappeared at the Brass Wiesn in Eching and four days later was found dead from Lake Eching.
But many people take an interest in the fate of the young man from Eichenried.
This can be observed on social media.
The girlfriend of the deceased initiated an unprecedented search campaign via Instagram and Facebook.
Anna Lux tirelessly posted calls for help and requests for information.
Hundreds of mostly young people even followed the calls to look for the missing person on site in Eching.
Now the 21-year-old is using Facebook and Instagram again to say thank you.
The background is a dandelion on a black background - a moving symbol of transience.
Anna formulated two messages.
First she wrote: "It is with deep sadness and great pain that we have to inform you that Tobias left us much too soon.
We are all deeply shaken and still can't believe it.” Here she also thanks all the rescue organizations involved and the police as well as all the volunteers who were active in the search for Tobias.
Hundreds of users commented on this expression of grief with moving condolences.
Photos and GIFs of candles were often seen.
And in real life, too, a number of candles were lit after users' posts.
Anna Lux replied again on Thursday: "Thank you for this encouragement during this difficult time.
Please understand that we will be withdrawing from the public eye for a while.
(...) The grief and the pain need time, which we would like to take.
Thanks for your understanding.
Your Anna, mum, dad, your brother Jonas on behalf of all family and friends.”
