Netanyahu will submit a request to cancel his trial in Case 4000
The opposition leader's lawyers delivered the message to the District Court in Jerusalem, which will have to approve the request to cancel the trial.
The announcement was made after yesterday the attorneys of the Elovich couple submitted a similar request

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu's attorneys submitted a letter to the Jerusalem District Court today (Wednesday) stating that they intend to request the annulment of his trial in Case 4000. The request will be sent after yesterday the attorneys of the couple Iris and Shaul Elovitch, who are accused in the case, submitted a similar request.
Elovich, the former controlling owner of Bezeq, and his wife, asked to drop the indictment against them in the case in which they are accused of bribing Netanyahu in exchange for assistance in the regulation of the Eurocom-Bezeq group.
Their lawyers Jacques Chen and Naa Pirer detailed in the application a series of alleged omissions in the indictment and in the conduct of the criminal proceedings against them.
The request claims, among other things, that "the investigation was tainted from the beginning. The investigators did not spare any means and used predatory tools against the applicants and against other witnesses and suspects. Offensive actions and investigative exercises were carried out in the investigation... Suspects were interrogated in extremely difficult conditions in violation of the law."
